索償權利

If through the negligence of a motor vehicle driver on the road, you suffer bodily injury you are entitled to claim compensation.

任何人仕若在一宗在道路上因駕駛人疏忽而導致的交通意外中身體受傷，即有權索取賠償。

If in the same circumstances, you suffer fatal injury, your dependents are also entitled to claim compensation.

若在同等情況下受害人因傷致死，其家屬亦有權索取賠償。

Claims should be made against the vehicle owner and/or the driver. Usually these claims are passed on to the vehicle's insurer, who will investigate the claim and settle if appropriate.

受害人應向車主及駕駛人索取賠償。通常索償會交由肇事車輛之承保公司審查及處理。

You may also claim directly from the insurer of the vehicle. You may get the name of the insurer from the Police or the Transport Department in most cases.

受害人亦可向該車之承保公司直接申請賠償。承保公司之名稱通常可從警方或運輸署方面查詢。

All accidents in which bodily injuries occur must be reported to the Police, and all owners of motor vehicles are required by law to be insured against claims for bodily injuries.

根據現行法例規定，所有車輛車主均需投保第三者人身意外保險，同時所有涉及人身傷亡之交通意外均需向警方報案 。

It is the claimant's responsibility to make every effort to obtain compensation from the owner and/or the driver of the vehicle and the vehicle's insurer.

申請人有責任向車主、駕駛人或車輛之承保公司盡力爭取賠償。
